The kids had fun making their Valentine's for school this year. Thanks to Family Fun Magazine we got a lot of cute ideas. The girls gave out a bag of "bear hugs"to all their preschool friends which consisted of teddy grahams and gummy bears. Aidan made a couple of candy ipods for his best friends and they all made their teachers a cute little "you deserve a hand" gift of hand cream.
Today, Tim has to work all day but luckily he's able to do it from home. He surprised us all with boxes of candy this morning. Chocolate covered pretzels actually. YUM!! It reminded me so much of my Dad. As far back as I can remember my Dad always bought my sisters and me a heart shaped box of candy for Valentines Day. I remember the one year he caught on that I really only ate the caramels in the box and left the others and after that he always bought me a box of just chocolate covered caramels. Even when we got older, moved out and got married he still always got his girls candy. There's a little candy shop near our house called We're Not All Nuts and this is where he always shopped for the candy. So it was weird this morning when we opened our candy from Tim to see the We're Not All Nuts label on the box. I don't think Tim's ever been in that store or bought us candy for that matter but decided to stop in there this year. I always think of my dad on Valentine's Day but think this year he may have sent us a little sign back!
