This season of American Idol has been a big hit in the McCay household especially with 2 almost 5 year olds. They've watched past seasons but would lose interest fast and go on to the next thing to do. This year however they've been glued to the tv and count down the days till it's on. At some point of every day Brynn will usually ask "is American Idol on tonight" and if it's not she'll then ask do we have a taped one?" Since their bed time is at 8:30 we have to dvr it for them to watch the next day.
They both have their favorites but from the very beginning Brynn's favorite is Tim Urban.
One of the first times he sang she immediately said "I like him, he's cute!!" 
Every week after that we would discuss his cuteness and how he was her favorite. She would even blush when it was brought up to other people in conversation. Unfortunately last week he was sent home but it didn't hit home with her until this week. Going to bed last night she was talking with Molly about idol when she got all filled up and fought back the tears saying Tim's never coming back. I reassured her that he'll be back on again on the last show to sing with everyone one more time. And then I recalled my first celebrity crush at the age of 5 when I tuned in every week to the Donny and Marie show!!
