A Pinkalicious Party Part One

Our baby girls turned 5. FIVE!!! We can't believe it. I keep wishing for a life remote where we can hit the pause button for a little bit or even slow motion for awhile because it seems to be going by in a blink. Actually they turned 5 two weeks ago today and I'm just now getting around to blogging about it. I've had good intentions of updating our blog but always seem to end up on facebook, reading other blogs, shopping on ebay, etc. So without further ado we bring you Molly and Brynn's Pinkalicious Party...
(for those of you without preschool age girls, Pinkalicious is a cute book by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann about a little girl who eats too many pink cupcakes and ends up turning pink.)
.

First up, their first friend party with all their girlfriends from preschool and their favorite cousin closest in age, Kendall. Also another fave cousin Shane came with his girlfriend and even had on a pink shirt but I forgot to get a picture of him. Since the girls asked him if he was coming at his junior varsity baseball game in front of all his 15 yr old friends I guess he didn't want to disappoint.
We had record breaking temps that day of 89'F so the girls got their wish of an outdoor party complete with playing on the swingset....Making Cupcake banks pink of course...Getting even more sweaty and hotter while playing a game of freeze dance...Each girl getting their own Happy Birthday sung to them ...
and a Pinkalicious party wouldn't be complete without reading their favorite book that inspired their party. And being read to by the best big brother in the world was just the cherry on top of the pink cupcake!!!!
