We once again participated in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk in memory of my Mom, Joan. It was at Citizen's Bank Park again this year, home of the World Series Champs, the Phillies!!! It was the day after their big parade and it was amazing how they cleaned up the park so fast. Anyway, this is the 4th year we have walked in the memory walk. We began participating the first year my mom had passed away. Our team consisted of Tim and I and the kids, my sister Donna and my two nieces Meghan and Michelle. Since then our team (Joanie's Girls) has grown and we have raised almost $ 7,000 in my mom's name for the Alzheimer's Association. The walk has become a tradition now for our family and we make it a fun event. The past few years we've tailgated afterwards and everyone has a great time. It's a day we all think of my mom and wish she could be here with us because this is the sort of thing she would've loved. Just hanging out with her family talking and laughing. Here are some pictures of our day....
Molly didn't want to get in the picture with us
but then cried when she missed it so we had to get one with her
8 of the 13 grandkids posing.
There was a photographer there taking pictures and he wanted one of just the kids. We made it if you were under 20 you were in the pic.
Meghan and Aidan's annual picture at the end of the walk.
True tailgaters!!!
