What a proud day to be an American. Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States and I'm proud to say I voted for him. Unless you live under a rock, I'm not sure how you could've missed all of the coverage of the inauguration. I personally think they started a little early. Did they really need to be standing outside the church for the whole hour they attended mass waiting for him to come out?? Once the true inauguration started it was quite special to see. It was amazing all the people who stood out in the bitter cold just to be there. I love that he brings so much excitement out in people. My favorite part of the day was his youngest daughter giving him a thumbs up and the big smile he gave her back. Also that the chief justice flubbed the oath of office and Obama knew it but kind of laughed but still repeated it verbatim.

Aidan was excited that he got to watch a lot of the coverage in school. He brought home a bunch of different worksheets that they did on the inauguration and the one I thought I'd share. They had to fill in a word that starts with each letter of Inauguration. So here it is in the eyes of our favorite 4th grader, Aidan...
I is for Inauguration
N is for Nation
A is for another President
U is for U- R- President
G is for Good people everywhere
U is for Unified
R is for Race is over
A is for A happy day
T is for Together
I is for If I can do it, you can too
O is for Obama's won
N is for No more war
