Hot Fun In The Summertime

There are many ways we can complain about how hot it's been in our neck of the woods lately but with summer officially here, we've also begun to enjoy some hot fun. June has brought us a lot of heat but also reminded us what we love about summer. Here are just a few...

We love when temps get so high that the slip and slide makes it reappearance and little girls only stick their toe in to cool off...

We love that once they get the hang of it, that it's each kid for themselves and let the races begin..

we love when Daddy wants to show how it's really done

and rolls up his jean shorts and off he goes..we love how princess beach towels make the coolest capes...we love while our brother and sister are acting all silly we can reach into the bowl of cheez its and steal the rest and no one will notice... we love being silly and learning how to make monkey faces that have been taught by our big cousins...
we love finding Robin's nest under our pergola and only getting a peek at what's inside from a bedroom window...

we love that with 4th of July fast approaching we can get plenty of sparklers and pop its (or duds as Brynn calls them) to enjoy all summer...

we love tormenting brothers and when told not to, we throw our pop its directly at him without any hesitation... and he has to jump out of the way...

we love that our tiger lillies are in full bloom and fill our patio with their sweet scent...

we love that the humidity has brought back the the cutest ringlets ever on little girls hair and that lightning bugs are out and we can stay up past our bedtime to catch them....

we love showing them off even though one of us will only catch them with a red cup and never actually touch one of the bugs. And that said person will scream bloody murder when she thinks one may have landed on her...

but most of all we love that one big brother is home all day with us

and makes our summers so much fun...
