Spring Break

Aidan had off from school all this week so we tried to plan some fun things to do. On Wednesday, Aidan, Molly, Brynn, myself and Aunt Nancy went to the movies to go see Horton Hears a Who. This was the second time the girls went to the movies and they did much better this time. When we saw the Bee Movie with them the previews were ridiculously loud and it scared Molly. So now when you even mention going to see a movie she says it's too loud. The girls discussed this the whole way to the theatre. It went something like this,

Molly-" we going to see Dumbo?
Brynn- "Yea I yike Dumbo"
Molly- "It too loud?"
Brynn- "too loud??"
Molly- "yea, last night it was too loud"
Brynn- "Whoa"
and Repeat

Everything to Molly happened "last night", whether it was a day ago, months ago or even 5 minutes ago she always tells you it happened last night. Brynn's favorite response to things is always "whoa" instead of oh.
So anyway, they did enjoy the movie. Molly was scared at the extra loud previews again but sat on my lap for that and was fine. They loved eating the popcorn and lollipops we gave them. They did get tired during it since it was around their nap time and with the previews we were there for over 2 hours. Brynn at one point wanted to lay down and watch it. So she lounged out across my lap and put her head on the piled up jackets in the next seat. Aidan liked the movie too. He was excited to see the Speed Racer preview and can't wait to see it. I know Tim's looking forward to it too. That'll be a fun boys day out for them.

On Friday, Tim took the day off so we took the kids to the Crayola Factory. Since the girls love anything to do with drawing or coloring especially with markers (or "mockas" as they call them)this was right up their alley. It was a fun day. Apparently a lot of other people had the same idea because it was pretty crowded. For those of you who haven't been there it really is set up cute for the kids. All ages will have a great time. They have many different stations with all different crafts to make. Including a big tunnel you walk through that you can draw on the walls with markers. Hopefully this doesn't come back to haunt us in the future. I think the big hit of the day was the painting for the girls. They didn't want to leave that station. We were there for a few hours and the girls slept the whole way home. After we were home for a bit, the girls were downstairs coloring with their new markers and crayons when Molly came up to inform us that Brynn drew on her hand.
When she came up this is what she looked like!
