Thanks Easter Bunny

Tim thought it would be fun to take the kids on the New Hope train just for something different to do. Since the girls are following in their big brother's footsteps and have a love of trains too, ( I think it's a train gene) we thought they would love it. So after getting everyone dressed and ready to go and in the car, as we're pulling out Tim asks if the train is even running. I guess he should've checked on that before hand. Anyway, we decided to take a ride to New Hope just to see since it was such a nice day. Luckily we got there and the train was up and running and to our surprise they were running an Easter bunny train. Molly & Brynn were so excited to see him. We weren't sure how they would react but they loved him. He rode along the train with us and gave treat bags out to all the kids. Even Aidan got in a picture with the furry guy after stating matter of factly before we got on he wasn't getting a picture with him. What happened to our little boy?? He's a good sport though and had just as much fun as his sisters. They even convinced him to ride on the little merry-go-round they have at the station with them.

After our ride, we decided to go look for mattresses at Sam's Club. We're getting ready to move the girls to big girl beds. It doesn't seem possible!!! They've been content in their cribs still. We only had one incident of Molly climbing out once but I think it scared her because she kind of fell out and she never did it again. I know once they're in beds I can probably say good bye to naps. Half the time they keep each other up now that I'm sure it won't be long till they realize they can just get up and play. I'll still make them lay down for quiet time for my sanity I'm sure. I can't wait to decorate their room. I've had their quilts for a long time now and the top of their closet is full of stuff for their big girl room! We're probably going to wait till their birthday to officially move them, which is less than 2 months away. What a fun 3rd birthday present.

By the time we got home we were sure Molly and Brynn would be ready to crash for naps but of course once they got in their cribs they got a second wind. They were talking to each other about the easter bunny and the train. They're so funny to listen to their full conversations now. So after awhile of them playing and talking they had enough and both started screaming "MOMMY I want to get OUT!!!! I ended up letting them out to go outside since the weather was so nice. Once they're out there, it's almost impossible to get them back in the house. They did all their outside favorites; blew bubbles, drew with sidewalk chalk, rode their bikes, went on the swings, and got to drive Aidan's old jeep. They're both starting to get the hang of it a little bit now. Brynn drives in a circle the whole time and Molly kind of zigzags all over since she steers back and forth. We then took Sammy for a walk and Tim pulled them along in their wagon. Once we got back, we got them in and had a late dinner. Once they were in jammies they were ready for bed. For the past couple months they've had the routine of taking turns who gets Mommy to carry them up. It never used to be an issue because Brynn was always a daddy's girl and Molly a mommy's girl. I guess once Brynn got more verbal she decided she wanted to have a turn with Mommy too. It got to the point they would fight every night and I would end up carrying one up at a time .So to save my back, I make them take turns every other night. The other one gets to be carried by Daddy. So now when it's time to go up they'll both come to me and ask "Is it my turn?" with their big puppy dog eyes. Last night it was Brynn's turn so when Molly asked I told her it was Brynn's and she said "wait, maybe it's my turn." Good try, Molly!!! They both were asleep in about 30 seconds.
