We had a very hot weekend this past weekend. We went from nice spring like weather to it being hot and muggy over night. Friday we had the pleasure of watching my cousin's little boy, Ryan, for the day. He was so much fun to have around. He is such an easy going kid and was entertained by the girls
and Sammy all day. Molly and Brynn still call him Baby Ryan even though he's 16 months old now but that's how they distinguish between him and their
other cousin Ryan who's almost 3. We played all morning and after lunch we put him down for a nap. I thought he might give us a hard time since it was a different place and he hasn't slept in a pack and play in quite sometime but he went right to sleep and napped for 3 hours!! Brynn and Molly were getting tired of waiting for him to get up so I put them down for a nap, figuring they would play till he got up. They both fell asleep which is a rare occurrence anymore. I had to wake them up not long after Ryan got up so they wouldn't miss seeing him before he left.

We came home from the farm, hot and exhausted but let the girls cool off in their blow up pool. They had a ball in it and wanted Aidan to swim with them. Afterwards we went over Jeff and Christine's for a cook out and cake to celebrate her birthday.
Saturday we went up to our friend's farm for a big BBQ festival they were having. They had a bunch of kiddie rides, a petting zoo, all different kind of vendors and plenty of food. It was a fun day but the temperature went up to almost 100' that day and it felt even hotter!!! It was our sister-
in-law Christine's birthday so we went with them for something fun to do. With only 3 weeks left till she gives birth, I don't know how she handled the heat. It didn't seem to bother the kids, except Aidan who is our true air conditioned child. He complained for awhile but then started to enjoy himself too. We got to meet Omar Gaither from the Philadelphia Eagles who was there with one of the radio stations. We got a picture of all the kids with him and he seemed very nice. The kids went on a few of the rides. Brynn mostly went on everything with Aidan and Molly only wanted to go on the pony ride. She loved it this time. Last summer she went on one I think to prove she could after watching Brynn doing it and loving it but as soon as she got on she screamed. Luckily this time she enjoyed it and didn't even need me to walk next to her. Brynn rode it as well but wanted to get off as soon as she spotted the other animals in the petting zoo in the next tent.
After that Tim, Aidan along with Jeff and Ryan decided to go for a ride on the monster truck. Aidan wanted to do it but was so nervous too. I reminded him that his cousin Shane was the exact same way when we took him on it a few years ago and once he did it he loved it. Not wanting to be showed up by his almost 3 year old cousin he went on too. After taking Tim and Aidan's picture, Brynn announced she wanted to go too and was ready to climb the ladder to get on herself. She went on too and sat on Tim's lap. She had fun but at one point they go up a hill and Tim said all she see is the sky and she announced " I'm all done, I want to get off". Once they came down off the hill she was fine and had a ball.

Sunday was just as hot and after going out for breakfast and Target, we came home and let them play on the slip and slide. They liked it but since the hose water was so cold it took them awhile to get wet. Tim joined in the fun having races with Aidan. All the outdoor fun wore everyone out and they were in bed early that night!!

gotta love those irish tans!!!
