One word for potty training... ugh!!!!

Ok, so I feel like we've been working on this potty training for months now. Which in fact we have. I thought for sure the girls would be potty trained long before they turned 3 and now here we are a month after their birthday and I don't feel like we're any closer. Molly and Brynn will both pee on the potty when they feel like it. Some days they'll tell me they have to go and others they like to announce they pee-peed in their pull-up! (Molly's favorite line lately) Going #2 has been a battle altogether. As I said in a previous post Molly finally did it at Wendy's but hasn't since. When you ask when she's going to do it on the potty she reminds you that she "pooped at Wendy's". We even bought her the big blue ball she wanted from Target for going. That was the reward she picked out for going on the potty. Trying to explain this to Brynn everyday when she would cry that she wants a green ball and didn't get one was no easy task. The other day I think she was determined to get that ball and kept trying to go. Finally we were in the living room and in a panic she announced she had to go NOW!!! We ran to the potty just in time for her to do it. She was so excited!!! Molly was excited for her too but proceeded to gag when standing by the potty. I made her go into the living room before I ended up having to clean up vomit too!!!! Tim stopped on his way home and got Brynn her green ball. But once again she too has went back to her old ways. I guess they figure it was a one shot deal!! I'm hoping one of these days it will click. I'm backing off for awhile because I think it's becoming a power struggle with them and my stubborn girls won't give in!! We have till September to get this accomplished so they can start preschool. Well that's all, Molly just informed me she peed in her pull up. UGH!!!!

note to self: do not leave Daddy in charge of putting on sunscreen! He completely missed under Molly's eyes before bringing her up to Aidan's field day at school and needless to say she got burnt!!!
