We had a fun, busy Memorial day weekend. The weather was beautiful. We had nothing planned going into the weekend but soon filled up our schedule. Saturday we decided to take a ride to Lancaster because I wanted to look at tv stands at one of the amish furniture stores. We found a place that also sold playsets so the kids got to play on them while we were there. I think they thought we were visiting a huge playground. We found what we were looking for and ended up getting new end tables to match. Tim managed to fit it all in the car. Now we'll have to go back to get the matching coffee table!!! Right Tim??? Anyway we had a nice lunch there and after a few hours headed home.
Sunday, we first went to my brother's house since my niece got a moon bounce for the weekend from her work. The girls couldn't wait to see their cousins. I made the mistake of telling them the night before so all morning Brynn bugged me to go see her "friend" Kendall.
I think since they spent the day together when Molly was in the hospital they really bonded. When we first got there Brynn didn't want to even go in the moon bounce and headed right for the sandbox.
Molly went in but quickly got out when she couldn't keep her balance. After awhile and some pleading we finally got her in there and once she started jumping she didn't want to stop. We got Brynn in too and she would only jump holding someones hands. We were only able to stay a short while because we already had plans for dinner with our friends. We went right there and the girls and Aidan were worn out. But they perked back up and loved playing outside the whole time.
Monday, we went to a cook out over other friends of ours. They also have a small moon bounce that they own so the girls were in their glory when they saw that. There were a couple other families there and all the kids had fun. Of course I caused a little scene because when we got there Brynn found a frog/toad in their playhouse. Our friends son Luke who's 5 became obsessed with it and carried it around the entire party putting it in buckets and cups. At one point I was watching the girls and Tim was playing horseshoes with the guys. Luke came up to show me the frog in his cup and don't you know that's when it decided to jump out, on me!!!! I screamed so loud!! Of course he thought this was hysterical and spent the rest of the night trying to put it on me every time he saw me. Good times!!! By the time we got home everyone was tired so it was straight in the bath and to bed.
