Progress????

I'm happy to report that Brynn seems to be moving in the right direction with the potty training. Of course, once I'm done writing this she'll probably revert back. The trick seems to be that she does much better if were at somebody else's house. On Friday we were over my brother's house since they were babysitting my great niece and nephew, Kendall and Ethan . The girls love playing with them and had fun playing outside most of the afternoon. I noticed Brynn had that "look", I asked her if she needed to go poopy and she said no, I not poopy in my pants. Then about a minute later she announced she needed to go poopy. We ran inside and I held her on the toilet and she went without any trouble. She was so excited and needless to say so was I!!! Later that night we went to the Trenton Thunder game with Aidan's cub scouts. They were sleeping over on the field. Tim and Aidan stayed for that along with our nephew Shane but the girls and I just went to the game. This was their first baseball game and they followed in their brother's footsteps and enjoyed eating the whole time! Brynn peed on the toilet while we were there. They seem to always want to try in gross public bathrooms!

Saturday we spent the entire day in our backyard. I finally got some flowers to plant and Tim hooked up the sprinkler for the kids. We had the girls in their bathing suits all day and put their potty on the deck. The did great all day. Molly had one accident but for the most part did well. She will always say no when you ask her if she needs to go so sometimes I make her try and she'll whine but usually she will go.

Sunday we went to my Godson, Matt's high school graduation party at my sisters house. I think the kids spent about 90% of the time in her pool. I guess from the cold water Brynn probably pee'd about 5 times on the potty. Molly had one accident poolside but got the hang of it too when we would just make her go try. At one point everyone was starting to eat dinner on the deck and Brynn was still playing in the pool. Tim had just gone inside with Molly to get their plates and I was watching Brynn in the pool. She got out and announced to all very loudly that she needed to poop. I ran her to the toilet in their pool house and she made it just in time. She doesn't seem to have any fear about it like Molly does. They had a long day of swimming and jumping on the trampoline and slept the entire way home.

Yesterday, Brynn continued to do pretty well with keeping her pull-up dry. She would tell me every time she had to pee. She did this throughout most of the day so we're keeping our fingers crossed!!!

On another note, I went to go do laundry yesterday and the girls we're playing. In the few minutes I was gone Molly went upstairs and found one of Tim's sharpie markers. She comes down into the laundry room telling me she got blue on her nose. When I looked at her she had drawn a line from the inside corner of her eye and down her cheek. At first I laughed when I saw her but then realized it probably wasn't one of her washable markers since they're only downstairs where I was. I asked her where she got a marker and she said in Daddy's room and when I asked why she drew on herself she said " I did it on purpose, sorry mom". After scrubbing her face she is still left with a light blue mark if you look closely. I was going to take her picture but Tim wouldn't let me because he didn't want her to think it was funny. We would almost expect this from Brynn since she loves to draw on herself but Molly never has. I guess she wanted to see for herself what it was like.
