PreSchoolers!!!!!

Today is the real first day of pre-school for Molly and Brynn. They've been talking about it all summer and it's finally here! We went on Tuesday but it was only for 45 minutes and the parents stayed the whole time. They both did well that day. Molly was much more shy than Brynn but she warmed up pretty quick and enjoyed herself. As soon as we walked in,Brynn asked where the paint was. All she talks about when asked about preschool is that she's going to paint there!! She was the only one who would answer questions when the teacher asked. Toward the end, all the mom's were sitting on the other side of the room talking to the one teacher while the other read a book to the kids. Brynn hollered for me and told me she had to pee. I took her to the bathroom and showed her where she'll have to go. When we came back in she announced to her teacher and all the mom's that she pee-peed! This is my only concern with them starting preschool now is that they need to be able to go on their own. They're both fully potty trained now but they're not too good in getting their clothes up and down to do so on their own. Hopefully they'll be too involved that they may not need to go the 2 1/2 hours they're there.

Back to today, I dropped them off and they both were ok with it. I was more worried about Molly knowing that Brynn usually could care less where I'm at. I helped them hang up their backpacks and gave them both a kiss and hug and told them to be good listeners. The teachers were trying to get the parents out of the door and the kids in their room fairly quickly. They both went right in but I started down the hall to turn in paperwork and I heard Brynn with a worried sounding "Mommy?" I was ran back to her and she said, "there's no paint in here." I pointed out all the toys on the table and told her to just play with them she'll paint another day. As I walked back out, I peeked in and they were both sitting across from each other sitting with a few other girls playing puzzles. PHEW!!!

Update: I went to pick them up and they both came running to me so excited about their day. Brynn said she had fun and Molly gave a complete breakdown of everything they did. She was most excited they got cookies there!! The teacher also mentioned to try and have the kids go potty before school because once one has to go they all do. Of course I knew who the culprit was in that and when I asked Brynn if she had to go potty she said she did it all by myself. I asked if she went first and she did!!! Molly said she went to and was proud to have done it all by herself too!!! They both can't wait till Tuesday when they go back and get to bring in their teddy bears for a teddy bear picnic!
