Tis the Season...

...of Holiday parties and fun. The girls had their Baby Jesus Birthday party this past Thursday at preschool. They put on a short presentation about the first Christmas and each student had a part. All the parents were invited in to see them. After we were all in and seated the children came walking in to their spots. Brynn was excited to spot me and gave me a big wave but after a bit Molly didn't come in. I was thinking oh no she doesn't want to do it but after her teacher called to her and another girl she came walking in too. It turns out they were chatting in the hallway and didn't see the other kids walk in before them. Each child had a part in the story and as their teacher told it they had to put their part on the felt board. Brynn was one of the kings and when she went to put her king on the felt board her birthday hat she had on fell off. She turned around and announced to me "My hat fell off Mommy!!" Molly's part was the star and she was full of smiles the whole time. They then sang some songs included with hand motions and they both did great. Afterwards we had snack with them and then headed home. They now have off for two weeks for the holiday break but are already asking me when they go to preschool again!!

On Saturday, my Aunt Nancy treated all of her adult nieces and great nieces to lunch up in Peddler's Village. It was a bitter cold day but it looked beautiful with all the ice and lights on the tree's. We enjoyed a great lunch at the Cock-n-Bull restaurant and then walked around some of the shops. It was such a fun day and Peddler's Village looked like a scene from a Christmas movie.
Later that night we hosted my side of the family for our Lyons Family Christmas party. Every other year were together on Christmas day but this year every one's with their in-laws. It is always a fun time and chaotic but it wouldn't feel like Christmas without this. I remember when Tim and I were dating and he came to my house for the first time on Christmas with the whole family. I think it was a bit overwhelming for him with my big family but he has grown accustom to it at this point. He had no choice in that matter! ; )
