Big girl beds
The girls are finally in " big girl" beds. We decided we would finally graduate them from their cribs into beds for their 3rd birthday. I have been ready for a long time for this. The quilts were bought probably around their first birthday and have been stored in the top of their closet since. We found beds we liked, unfortunately at pottery barn! With having to buy 2 it would've been way too expensive and that wasn't even including mattresses. The bed was a cute white iron frame bed, very girly! After shopping around, I found one that almost exactly matched on jcpenney.com and it was half the price. A couple months ago I saw it was on clearance for $79 and ordered them right away!!!! We finally got twin mattresses on Sunday and Tim was anxious to put them together. He got them together no problem and the cribs taken apart in no time. The girls were excited but Molly was a little nervous too. She doesn't like change much. If everything stayed the same she would be happy! We thought that night they might give us a hard time but they were both tired from a no nap day and went right to sleep. When they woke up in the morning we heard Brynn say " I can climb out!! yea!!" They proceeded to stay in their beds until I went up to get them 30 minutes later. After breakfast Molly asked if she could go in her bed. I found her all tucked under the covers reading a book. Brynn napped no problem that day but Molly came walking down with the most devilish grin.
On another note since we're used to doing everything twice with the girls, Molly is now sick. She started with a little cough yesterday but by last night she had a low grade fever. We gave her tylenol and put her to bed. She woke up warm this morning again so I made an appt with her pediatrician. I took her in and her dr. said that her lungs sounded clear but that she was wheezing so he prescribed her an inhaler. He wants us to give that to her every 4 hours and bring her back tomorrow so he can listen to her again. Her fever came back around lunch time so she pretty much has been on the sofa and on me. She drank some lemonade and then proceeded to get sick all over me. I think it was just from all the mucous. Luckily for me, Tim was working from home so he came running when I screamed for help. He took her so I could go get changed. She was more upset about throwing up on me and "getting my shirt all messy". She was sleepy afterwards and asked to go lay in her bed. You know she's sick if she's asking to take a nap. She's usually our fighter on them. We're hoping we can nip this in the bud.
