Photo shoot

Today I took the girls to Target to get their portraits done for their 3rd birthday. The last time I had a portrait done of them, they were only 18 months. When they turned 2, I wanted to get them done but at the time I couldn't even get them together to get a picture myself let alone let some stranger do it. I knew it wouldn't be worth the hassle and figured I wait till they were 2 1/2. Of course time has flown by and now here were are a week away from their birthday. Anyway, they were pretty good. I've been talking it up most of the week to prepare them for it. When we got there, Brynn volunteered Molly to go first. Molly was such a little poser. She could be a model I swear. She has the best smile even if it's her fake one. The photographer loved her and probably took 9 different poses of just Molly. Next up was Brynn. She's the more serious of the 2 when it comes to smiling for the camera. She either has to be truly laughing at something or her fake smile looks like she's in pain. She didn't really want to do either and I tried warning the photographer ahead of time that she is nothing like her sister. I think she was determined to get the perfect shot of her. After about 3 poses, Brynn was done. She was ready for the icee I promised. Yes, bribery works well with these two!!! I had wanted to at least try and get one of them together. At this point, Molly thought she was finished and didn't want to get in one with her sister. I talked her into it and the photographer wanted them to hug but when Brynn hugged Molly her hair clip scratched her ear. Molly then broke into tears and wanted to get down. I once again told them we only needed one more and then we would be off to get that yummy icee. I put them back on the table and they were standing back to back but didn't want their backs touching. The girl ended up getting a cute picture which I don't think she was too happy with but it's so their personalities showing. The pictures will be available online for me to download in about 10 days so I'll post them then.
